Folia Health Announces Primary Immunodeficiencies (PI) as Second Condition of Focus at the IDF National Conference
Boston, MA, June 21, 2019
Folia Health, the digital health company that enables patients and caregivers to use their observations to get the right healthcare, has announced the launch of primary immunodeficiencies (PI) as their second condition. PI diseases affect 500,000 people across the United States, and were the original inspiration for Folia, as the founder’s family is affected by the condition.
“Through our experience working with the cystic fibrosis community, we have learned that there is an immense need to bring the voices of patients & caregivers back to the clinic in an organized way, so that every patient gets the right care, every time,” said Nell Meosky Luo, Founder and CEO of Folia Health. “As we transition from our pilot phase and begin to add new communities to the Folia family, we’re excited to start work in PI.”
According to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which is holding its bi-annual conference in Washington D.C. June 20-22, 2019, individuals with PI often face challenges in receiving specialized healthcare and proper diagnosis and treatment.
